Mumbai Indians, brimming with confidence, aim for a fifth win on the trot in the inaugural Women’s Premier League as they face Gujarat Giants at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday.

In all their four matches so far, table-toppers Mumbai have played with a lot of conviction and self-belief to overpower their opponents. On Sunday night, they were tested a little bit by the UP Warriorz, till the solidity and assuredness of captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Nat Sciver-Brunt took them home safely.

For the Gujarat team, who are in the bottom half of the points table, the job gets as arduous as possible. Besides, it wasn’t too many days ago when they were given a 143-run thrashing by Mumbai in the tournament opener.

What has made matters more favourable for Mumbai is the performance of their bowling attack, led by SaikaIshaque. The Calcutta-based left-arm spinner has performed in the Powerplay as well as in the slog overs, which has been a boon to her side.
