The Sachin Tendulkar comparisons will never leave Virat Kohli. Here's another one. This time from none other than Virender Sehwag.

The Sultan of Multan said that Kohli stepping down as T20I captain does not matter much as long as he is around to give his inputs. While speaking to Cricbuzz, he recalled how the Master Blaster always shared his inputs with whoever took charge as captain.

"Throughout his long and illustrious career, (Sachin) Tendulkar played under so many captains. Every time a new captain came in, he shared his thoughts with him, and then it was up to the skipper to implement it. Similarly, Kohli said something great when he said that he and Rohit are the leaders and as long as they are around the Indian team setup, they will support the youngsters and captain," he said.

Kohli recently posted an emotional message on social media in the wake of stepping down from the top responsibility. "Thank you for all the memories and the amazing journey we've had as a team with you all. Your contribution has been immense and will always be remembered in Indian cricket history," Kohli, has given up T20 captaincy, wrote on his twitter page in praise of the coaching staff. Wish you the best moving forward in life. Until next time," he said.

From November 17, Rohit Sharma will be India's new T20 captain with Rahul Dravid in charge as head coach. It is expected that Rohit will take over the reins of ODI captaincy as well during the tour of South Africa.
