Andhra opener Vamshhi Krrishna became the latest entrant to the six-sixes-in-an-over club when he achieved the feat in an U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy match
at the YS Raja Reddy ACP Cricket Stadium in Kadapa on Sunday. The hapless bowler being Railways spinner Damandeep Singh.
This made Krrishna the fourth Indian batter to achieve the feat, joining the trio of Ravi Shastri, Yuvraj Singh and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Krrishna ended up scoring 110 off 64 balls (9x4, 10x6) even as the match ended in a draw. Railways piled up a massive 865/9 in response to Andhra’s first-innings total of 378.
The first hit was a slog sweep over mid wicket. The leg-spinner pitched the next ball slightly outside off but there was no respite as Krrishna hit him over his head.
The third ball was in the slot and was disdainfully swatted over long on. This brought up Krrishna’s half-century as he raised the bat to acknowledge the dressing room cheers.
The fourth hit was a repeat of the first shot. The penultimate six came off a sweep, and finally to cap it off, Krrishna hit the final ball over long on.
