A seven-day break in a long-drawn tournament like the IPL is a luxury and Sunrisers Hyderabad have enjoyed one such opportunity since their last match against Lucknow Super Giants on May 8.

Sunrisers' openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma put on a brutal display of batting, coasting to 167/0 in just 9.4 overs to race to victory which gave their net run-rate a mighty boost.

On Thursday they take on Gujarat Titans at their home ground. But will the break hamper their momentum, especially their openers?

"I don't think it changes momentum," said Sunrisers assistant coach Simon Helmot. We've had some five-day breaks throughout the tournament, we're used to having breaks, so I don't think that'll change things anyway."

The Titans, who got knocked out from the playoffs after rain played spoilsport in Ahmedabad, will be hoping to sign off on a positive note.

Sunrisers will need to win their remaining two matches, after Rajasthan Royals lost to Punjab Kings on Wednesday, to remain in the hunt for a top-two finish. They have four wins out of five at home this season, with their only loss coming against RCB when they couldn't chase down a target of 207.

The Pat Cummins-led team have lost three in a row against the Titans but will meet in Hyderabad for the first time.
