Virat Kohli has once again not been considered for selection, this time for the three ODIs against Zimbabwe in Harare from August 18. The former captain has taken a break since the limited overs series in the West Indies and is expected to be back for the Asia Cup.

Shikhar Dhawan will continue to lead in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Regulars like Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav,and Jasprit Bumrah have also been rested. KL Rahul is yet to recover fully from Covid-19.

That Kohli wouldn’t be available for the Zimbabwe tour was reported by The Telegraph on July 15.
