Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant was left to repent the decision not to review Tim David’s caught-behind appeal at the Wankhede on Saturday. TV replays later showed that David had nicked the delivery.

“I thought there was something but everyone standing in the circle was not convinced enough. So I was asking should we go for it... At the end, I didn’t take the review,” Pant said.

David obviously enjoyed the reprieve. “I heard a noise but I wasn’t sure, but when they didn’t review, I thought let’s crack on, that’s how the game is... I didn't think I hit it at that time, I thought I hit my pad,” David remarked.

Pant admitted Delhi lacked the ability to finish games. “I think most of the games we were on top. But on a few occasions we let it slip away from our grasp. That’s one of the things we have been doing throughout the tournament. I think we were not good enough to win this match,” he said.
