The Nor'wester which lashed the city on Saturday evening damaged the media enclosure at Eden Gardens.
Such was the intensity of the storm that a part of the front glass in the media box was completely damaged, something which has never happened before.
A portion of the ground cover came off, while some branding-related work too has been affected.
The storm struck with barely two days left for the Eden to host the two playoff games of IPL 2022, beginning with Qualifier I on Tuesday. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly visited Eden Gardens later in the evening to check on the extent of damage.
The CAB is confident that repair work will be completed by Monday.
