Prachesta CA emerged champions of the Reliable T20 All-Bengal U-15 cricket tournament, beating LRS Bangla Sports Academy by 101 runs in the final on Sunday.
The tournament was organised by the Ashok Malhotra Cricket Academy.
Batting first in the final, Prachesta scored 159/8 with Kushal Gupta hitting 45 off 26 balls and Debmalya Chakraborty getting 38 off 27 balls.
Gupta smashed six boundaries and three sixes, while Chakraborty hit four fours.
In reply, LRS Bangla SA were bundled out for 58 in 13.4 overs. Gupta was adjudged Man of the Match.
The 160-run target was challenging, but by no means impossible.
But on Sunday, none of their batters could put up any resilience before the disciplined effort from Prachesta bowlers.
Fittingly, they wrapped up the contest with as many as 38 balls remaining.
The Man-of-the-Tournament award went to Sachin Yadav of AMCA (Ashok Malhotra Cricket Academy), while Sayantan Mondal and Vinayak of LRS Bangla SA were the best batsman and bowler, respectively.
