Seasoned Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler feels teammate Prasidh Krishna has the attributes of becoming a successful fast bowler and foresees the youngster playing for India in all three formats.
The 26-year-old from Karnataka made his ODI debut in March last year. In the IPL auction in February, the former KKR recruit was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 10 crore (base price Rs 1 crore).
Buttler, who scored a century in the Royals’ last game on Saturday versus Mumbai Indians, said of Prasidh on Monday: “He has some pace in the nets and skills, he’s got all the attributes to be a very successful fast bowler for India in all formats of the game. I see him playing red ball cricket for India as well.”
The Englishman was speaking at the pre-match news conference ahead of Rajasthan’s clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede on Tuesday.
He also feels the team is benefiting from the “invaluable experience” of veterans Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult in crunch situations.
“Having those guys is fantastic, we have lots of experience to draw from. Against Mumbai the game was in
the balance and we needed wickets, Ashwin came up with a fantastic wicket and then Yuzi got two in two. Those guys are top performers and they know how to get things done,” he added.
