IPL final: MS Dhoni wins toss, CSK to bowl first as rain stays away on reserve day

MS Dhoni won the toss and Chennai Super Kings opted to field against Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans in the IPL final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday, reports ndtv.com

CSK are the second most successful team in IPL history, having won the title four times. They are also the most experienced team in the competition, with a number of world-class players in their squad, including MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ravindra Jadeja.

GT are the defending champions and are looking to become the third team to win back-to-back IPL titles. They have a young and exciting team, led by Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan. The match is sure to be a thrilling contest and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

The weather laid waste to the day's proceedings on Sunday, which was when the final was originally scheduled to take place and the match had to eventually be moved to a reserve day. It has remained bright and sunny for much of Monday and the forecasts for now state that it is unlikely that rain would have any significant effect on the game on Monday.
