Both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals need their batters to step up and come up with meaningful contributions when they lock horns at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday.

The Sunrisers slumped to back-to-back defeats after it seemed their campaign had taken off. And that's purely because their batting has failed them.

Harry Brook's century at the Eden against Kolkata Knight Riders suggested he was back in his groove. But he hasn't been consistent since that knock, while what also made matters tougher for him is the lack of stability as far as the second opener is concerned.

For the Capitals, batting was the main reason why they lost all of their first five matches. They also almost lost six in a row owing to a late collapse in spite of chasing just a 128 against the Knight Riders.

Thankfully, captain David Warner had hit a brisk 50-plus score at the top which played a huge role in helping the Capitals beat the Knights. Warner's opening partner, though, remains a concern as there hasn't been any improvement in Prithvi Shaw's form. It remains to be seen if Sarfaraz Khan takes Shaw's place on Monday.

However, the bowlers' form is a big plus for the Capitals. Veteran Ishant Sharma did commendably in his comeback game against the Knights. Spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, both amongst wickets, would also fancy their chances bowling on the Hyderabad pitch that assists tweakers.
