India Women have already lost the T20I series to their Australian counterparts, who lead 3-1 after winning the fourth game.

However, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side can certainly regain some pride if they win the fifth and final T20I at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Also, with the Women’s T20 World Cup slated in February 2023, India would want to register as many wins as possible leading up to the showpiece event. And a win over defending champions Australia, even if it comes in an inconsequential game, should boost the morale of the side, particularly that of the youngsters.

One of the major positives for India from this series is the performance of wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh, who has excelled in almost all the matches so far. Coming out to bat in the middle order, the 19-year-old Siliguri girl averages 103 so far in the series at a brilliant strike rate in excess of 190.
