Former India all-rounder Abhishek Nayar and former Netherlands all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate are set to join India’s support staff as assistant coaches for the white-ball tour of Sri Lanka.
Both will reunite with Gautam Gambhir, having served as assistant coaches under
his mentorship during KKR’s title-winning campaign last season.
Fielding coach T. Dilip will retain his post after having completed his tenure under former coach Rahul Dravid.

The Telegraph had reported last week that all three were in line to be part of Gambhir’s support staff.
Ten Doeschate is currently working with Los Angeles Knight Riders in USA’s Major League Cricket and may directly link up with the squad in Colombo.
Former South Africa pacer Morne Morkel is likely to be roped in as bowling coach though he may not be available for the Sri Lanka series. The BCCI has held several rounds of discussions with Morkel but no decision has yet been reached.
The team leaves by a chartered aircraft on Monday afternoon. The first T20I will be held on July 27.
