The dew factor has been a talking point in the ongoing India-New Zealand T20I series as well. The scenario is unlikely to be anything different in the third and final game too, which will be held at Eden Gardens on Sunday.

“Obviously, it’s a good wicket, like it always is at the Eden. As for the dew, it could be a factor. Now let’s see what happens,” Sourav Ganguly, BCCI president and former India captain, told reporters on Friday.

Sourav had a good look at the Eden wicket during the evening while having a word or two with curator Sujan Mukherjee and Cricket Association of Bengal president Avishek Dalmiya. The dew usually starts having its effect from around 7.30 to 8 in the evening. The anti-dew spray, though, has been in use as a counter.

The Board president, however, is also optimistic of all the 47,000 seats (after the permitted 70 per cent turnout) getting filled up on Sunday. “It’s a sell-out on almost every occasion here at the Eden. We expect the same to happen this time around as well,” Sourav said.

All the tickets that were put up for online sale on Friday were exhausted in a very short span of time.
