India A are in the driving seat in the second four-day game against Bangladesh A in Sylhet. At stumps on Thursday, India A left Bangladesh A at 49 for 2 in the second essay after declaring their first innings at 562 for 9.
Jayant Yadav (83), Saurabh Kumar (55) and Navdeep Saini (50) also chipped in after captain Abhimanyu Easwaran departed for 157.
Saurabh scored his runs off just 39 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes.
With his left-arm spin thereafter, Saurabh also took one of the two Bangladesh wickets to fall in their second innings. Bowling seven overs and giving away only 10 runs, he rattled the stumps of Mahmudul Hasan Joy.
The other wicket was taken by pacer Umesh Yadav, who cleaned up opener Zakir Hasan.

Pradhan shines
Bengal rode Rohit Pradhan’s 132 off 264 balls to score 311 in reply to Karnataka’s 349/9 in a Vijay Merchant U-16 match in Nagpur on Thursday. The match ended in a draw. Pradhan’s innings included 22 boundaries.
