The current England team, unlike most of the previous touring sides to India, are not afraid to take the spin challenge head-on. They are not just fearless to counter the Indian spinners, but also have the conviction that they have able tweakers to put the hosts under pressure.
Coach Brendon McCullum and captain Ben Stokes have said that in as many words.
Speaking to SEN Radio, McCullum said: "If the wickets continue to spin as much as what we saw in the first Test as the series goes on, look, we won't be afraid to play all spinners or a balance of what we've got."
Stokes, in an interview to JioCinema, backed his mostly inexperienced spin line-up to the hilt. "I think sometimes inexperience can be looked at into a bit too much. There's no doubt that experience makes players feel more comfortable and settled, especially in this environment.
"But the spinners we've selected on this tour are ones we think will give us the best opportunity to beat India. For me, it's not just about the spinners but understanding the talent they have and allowing them to go out there and express that talent and giving them the platform and the best possible opportunity to not worry about the outcome too much," Stokes said.
"We've got an amazing opportunity ahead of us. The squad we've picked from spinners to our seam bowlers to our batters, I think it's going to give us the best opportunity to win a series in India."
