The fourth season of The Saturday Club Cricket League, in association with The Telegraph, was played on January 8 at the club. The league comprised matches between members under the men, women and children categories. Playing a friendly twist, a batter would have to retire after scoring 31 runs and would be replaced by the next batter. The matches were played across eight overs in an innings.

The final in the men’s category was fought between Celica and Trailblazers. The nail-biting match kept the audience on their toes as Celica sweeped a victory with a winning six. In the women’s category, the Black Tigers lifted the cup by defeating the Daring Divas. In the children’s category, the Little Masters were victorious, defeating the Power Hitters.

After the finals concluded, the club arranged for an array of celebrations, with delicious food as well as a band performance to keep the crowd entertained. Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Johri, the club president, said, “This league has been going on for four years. We have grown to 17 teams and more than 250 people taking part across men’s, women’s and children’s teams. As we grow, we look forward to having a bigger place to organise such a grand tournament.”
