RCB captain Faf du Plessis is still not reading much into Virat Kohli’s form.

The former captain now has 236 runs in 13 matches at an average of 19.66. On Friday, Kohli made 20 off 14 balls.

“He (Kohli)’s seeing the lighter side of it. Every single way that you think you can possibly get out is happening to him... that’s just how the game works,” Du Plessis said.

“Sometimes when you’re a little bit under pressure, the game finds ways to keep you under pressure. All you can really do is make sure you keep working hard, keep staying positive knowing that it’s around the corner.

“He played some really good shots and obviously you’d like him to kick on. But I think he’s handling it really well,” the RCB captain said.

Du Plessis is also aware that they have to win their last match against Gujarat Titans to stay in the playoffs race.

“There’s one or two areas where we weren’t great and it showed... So all around, not a great outing for us. So for me, it’s take a day off, forget about the performance and then see how you can switch the guys on for what will be a must-win game for us.”
