After setting a 305-run target for South Africa, Mohammed Shami got rid of opening batter Aiden Markram on 1, reports hindustantimes.com.

Earlier the Proteas dismissed India for 174 in their second innings.

Rishabh Pant scored 34 as Kagiso Rabada returned with four wickets.

India lost captain Virat Kohli (18) in the first delivery by Marco Jansen, who also picked Ajinkya Rahane's (20) wicket.

Cheteshwar Pujara (16) failed again. Pant and R Ashwin added some quick runs before the latter was caught-behind on 14.
