Young Arshdeep Singh has built quite a reputation for bowling accurate yorkers. For that, the left-arm pacer has thanked the Punjab Kings management, as he said that his IPL team has such terrific batters that the only way to stop them in the nets is to bowl yorkers.

“Credit goes to the management. They got such batters in the team that the only option to stop them in the nets was by bowling yorkers. And that improved my ability to bowl yorkers,” Arshdeep said during a conversation with teammate Harpreet Brar after the Kings won their last league game on Sunday.

Arshdeep has earned his maiden national call-up, being picked for the home T20Is against South Africa. “I got to know just before the match, in the bus that I have got selected in the Indian team. It will sink in slowly. It is a special moment,” the 23-year-old said.
