After New Zealand lost the Test by 372 runs, Ashwin tweeted tagging Twitter Verified that the Black Caps spinner deserved a “verified” account. “Dear @verified , a ten wicket bag in an innings definitely deserves to be verified here!”, Ashwin wrote.

Twitter responded positively to that by adding the much sought-after ‘blue tick’ to the left-arm spinner’s account.
