Skipper Aaron Finch and pacer Nathan Ellis were the architects of Australia’s three-wicket win over Pakistan in the one-off T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday.

Opener Finch hit 55 while Ellis took four wickets as the Aussies reached the target with five balls to spare to finish their tour of Pakistan with a win.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam, in supreme form, top-scored for his team once again with 66. But the rest of the batsmen couldn’t build on their starts as Pakistan, put in to bat, could somehow post 162 for 8.

In reply, courtesy Finch, Marcus Stoinis (23) and Ben McDermott (22 not out), the equation never got difficult for Australia even though they lost seven wickets.

Brief scores: Pakistan 162/8 in 20 overs (B. Azam 66; N. Ellis 4/28, C. Green 2/16). Australia 163/7 in 19.1 overs (A. Finch 55; S. Afridi 2/21). Australia won by 3 wickets
