333 players to go under the hammer for Indian Premier League 2024

Gujarat Titans have highest auction purse, Rs 38.15 crore, and Lucknow Super Giants the lowest, Rs 13.15 crore

A total of 23 players, including World-Cup winning Australians, have been slotted in the highest bracket of Rs 2 crore, while 13 players are in the Rs 1.5 crore bracket for the IPL 2024 auction to be held in Dubai on December 19.

The IPL on Tuesday announced its final auction pool, which has been reduced from the original list of 991 players.

The final list now includes 333 players. Of them, 214 are Indians and 119 are overseas players, including two from associate nations. The total capped players are 116, uncapped players are 215.

A maximum of 77 slots are now available with 30 being slotted for overseas players.

Kolkata Knight Riders, who have a total purse of Rs 32.7 crore, can pick 12 players, including four foreigners.

Australia’s Travis Head, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Inglis and Josh Hazelwo­od have been slotted in the Rs 2 crore bracket and will be in demand among the franchi­ses.

New Zealand’s Daryl Mit­chell has registered at a base price of Rs 1 crore and Rachin Ravindra for Rs 50 lakh.

Pant to return

Rishabh Pant is likely to return to action for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. It is understood that the franchise expects Pant, who missed the 2023 season following a car crash in December 2022, to be fully fit and lead the Capitals.
