ATK Mohun Bagan striker Roy Krishna has scored in all the three matches his team has played so far in the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL), but coach Antonio Lopez Habas maintains that there is no pressure on him to perform in every outing.
“Roy is a fantastic player. He has a strong mentality and I don’t think he feels any pressure,” Antonio said at the pre-match media conference, ahead of the game against Jamshedpur FC, at Tilak Maidan in Vasco on Monday.
ATK Bagan have won all three matches so far, but what has satisfied Antonio more is the fact that they have not conceded a goal.
“It’s very important that we started the competition with three clean sheets. That gives the team confidence. This is the best way for improvement and we are tactically disciplined,” the Spaniard said.
Antonio, however, feels they need more creativity in the central midfield.
“I think we have to improve in the central midfield department. The idea and concept of our team are that everybody defends and everybody attacks. We need more creativity in the centre,” he said.
Asked about his next opponents, Antonio said: “The game versus Jamshedpur will be difficult. They are under pressure to win. All teams have reinforced their squads with good players. It’s very difficult to win against anyone.”
