Maya Meera Snehya, Hope & Prey, Baneet and Team Fenesta moved into the semi-finals of the All-India Shree Cement Bridge Championship on the penultimate day on Saturday.

In the quarter finals Maya Meera Snehya easily defeated Dr. R L Sanghi by 65.5-42 International Match Points (IMPs) while Hope & Prey had to struggle hard to beat title holders Shree Cement via tie breaker after both the teams scored 41 IMPs each at the end of the scheduled three rounds.

In the two other matches of the last-eight stage, Baneet easily ousted Team Burzen 83-52 IMPs while Team Fenesta got the better of a fighting Mohta 64-61 IMPs after a keen competition.

In the semi-finals, Maya Meera Snehya will face Team Fenesta while Baneet will take on Hope & Prey.

Meanwhile, elimination rounds are being held for the Pairs event. Twenty-six pairs out of 70 would enter the finals to be held on Sunday.
