Outgoing Fifa president Sepp Blatter, on Thursday, congratulated Mohun Bagan for their I-League triumph. In a message to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Praful Patel, Blatter said: 'Please pass on my personal congratulations, along with those of the whole football family, to Mohun Bagan on their exceptional performance.'

Family's claim

Deceased cricketer Ankit Keshri's family, on Thursday, claimed that they had not yet received the cheque from the Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR, who named Ankit as their 16th member, had promised to give Rs 10 lakh to his family. CAB treasurer Biswarup Dey, however, clarified that since the KKR management had given a commitment, the payment would be made soon.
