Bayern Munich recorded a tough 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in a Group A clash of the Champions League at the Stadion Lokomotiv on Tuesday. It extended Bayern’s winning run in the competition to 13 consecutive games.
It took an excellent volley from Joshua Kimmich in the 79th minute for the Bavarians to overcome Lokomotiv’s challenge.
Initially, it looked destined to be another show of complete dominance from the German champions when Leon Goretzka headed in Bayern’s first goal as early as the 13th minute of the game.
But Bayern squandered a string of chances to double their lead and also hit the post before Anton Miranchuk punished their wastefulness following a quick break from Ze Luis.
