Yes, the pandemic has made children put down their pens and pencils and move to a virtual platform. But a pen of a different kind has found a lot of support during the last few months — Samsung’s S Pen, which can be used not just with the flagship Galaxy Note phones but with a range of tablets from the South Korean electronics giant.
Year after year, the S Pen has been improved to mimic the comfort of writing on paper. Using the digital pen, teachers can, of course, write on a tablet’s screen but there’s more. The handwriting recognition feature can turn it into digital text, which helps teachers prepare lesson plans with interesting activities in very little time.
Take the example of Vijay Kiran Group, Bengaluru-based educational institutions. With more than 3,000 students and 200-plus teachers across institutions, they needed a solution for teachers as well as students. The company stepped in and the Galaxy Tab S6 came across as an effective tool for teaching and learning.
“With the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and the S Pen, Samsung was able to support better collaboration between students, teachers and management,” said Akash Saxenaa, senior director, enterprise sales, Samsung India.
Also helping is the way Galaxy Tab S6 comes with Knox. Samsung Knox is a proprietary security framework pre-installed on most Samsung mobile devices to protect data. The Knox configuration helped make the collaboration between teachers easier.
