Keeping videos free of bias….

We mentor all our faculty members to keep the content objective. It requires careful secondary research, referring to authentic online and offline sources and always telling both the sides of the coin in every video. The audience is smart and if we cater to any particular ideology then we would be found out very soon, so it is, in fact, in our interest to keep the content objective.

Idea behind the channel….

We were an offline company earlier, so the initial idea behind the channel was to use it as a marketing p2latform to drive more offline enrolments but encouraged by the response we received on YouTube, we made the shift to being completely online.

About his team….

The content creator /educator himself does the research. They are trained in secondary research during their mentorship/apprenticeship. For the initial few months they are given feedback on their content before they record it. Their skills are honed as per the requirements of the digital medium.

Goodness In You

Behind the channel is Alika Bhatt who explores “the hidden goodness in you” through the magic of colours. It’s a great place if you want to find motivation for art-related skills. Here’s what Alika Bhatt of Goodness In You has to say.

The motivation behind the channel….

Since childhood, I have always been a firm believer of art. All I could do was paint. In order to reach out to people while following my passion and motivating them to explore their hidden goodness, I began my journey on YouTube with my channel Goodness in You. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect it to create a beautiful community that I have built today. My main aim lies in motivating beginner artists to paint and for myself to grow as a better artist and learn with each passing day.

Finding ideas for the videos....

There is endless inspiration around us. My style of art is usually inspired by nature and things around me. My videos are for art lovers. They’re a mix of beginner level and advanced realistic paintings. So, everyone has something to take away from the channel. You might not be an artist but it will help you relax. Letting your hands experience this beautiful process of creating magic with colours can act like a therapy for some.

Changing her life….

Well, life has definitely changed for good. YouTube is my full-time job now. It’s so overwhelming to know how much people love your work and how much value we can add in someone’s life through our content. Each day passes with gratitude.I started on YouTube at a point where I had to give up my job due to a physical injury. It was a time to swim or sink. YouTube gave me an opportunity to come back and follow my passion. Believe me, one should never stop dreaming, for nothing beats hard work.

LearnoHub

LearnoHub (formerly called ExamFear Education) is the destination on YouTube for educational videos. The channel has more than 6,000 video lessons on physics, maths, chemistry and biology for Classes 11 and 12, NEET, JEE with concepts and tricks explained in Hindi and English. Let’s find out more from Roshni Mukherjee.

Focus on Class 11 and 12….

Though we have channels for different classes, including 6-8, 9-10 and 11-12, we receive more viewership for Classes XI and XII. With more students associated with our Class XI and XII channels, we focus more on this content. Also, slightly older kids are more familiar with gadgets, have easier access to online learning and are mature to learn independently on their own, at their pace.

Growth trajectory….

The channel has garnered 340m-plus views since its inception with 1.7m-plus subscribers. We started creating content back in 2011. Back then, it took us almost four years to gain one lakh subscribers as the number of viewers coming to YouTube to watch learning content was very less. Today, the situation is quite different. We have a huge audience to consume learning content on YouTube. We gained close to seven lakh subscribers over the last 10 months alone. Considering the overall trajectory of our channel, we, interestingly, witness a 2X growth (in terms of viewership) every year with a team size of less than 10. The growth from zero to 340m-plus happened organically, without any paid advertisements.

Competing with platforms like BYJU’S….

LearnoHub is a free learning platform. Our primary focus is not competition with other platforms instead our focus is on content quality, so that LearnoHub becomes a better version of itself with each passing day. LearnoHub, in a way, competes with itself to become better. We aim to create better content with every video that we release. We provide all our videos free of cost to our viewers. In India, a lot of people have the misconception (of course, for a reason) that anything that is free may not be of good quality. We work hard day and night to prove that wrong. #FREEhaiParBESThai is our Mantra. At LearnoHub, we believe in making learning fun and engaging rather than encouraging children only to score marks. We emphasise on concept clarity, which anyways ensures that the child would do well in exams too. When our students give a shoutout #ConceptHuaCrystalClear, we feel that all the efforts put behind creating that piece of content was worth it.
