There can never be enough emojis or its use case. You can be angry, happy, indifferent and forlorn with a single tap on the smartphone screen. So here comes more. Unicode has launched version 14.0 of its language coding standard, complete with 37 new emojis (and 112 new skin-tone variations). The new arrivals include a face holding back tears, a low battery indicator and, well, the finger heart gesture which goes so well with all things K-pop.

Though the new options have been announced, you will be able to incorporate them into your texts and messages after sometime. The Unicode Consortium expects the new code to launch widely on computers and mobile phones next year.

Some of the other interesting options are ‘pregnant man’ and ‘pregnant person’ emoji (makes gender options consistent for all emojis), ‘melting face’, a ‘troll’ and even a ‘nest with eggs’. One very interesting combination may turn out to be the new ‘bubbles’ emoji with the already existing ‘peach’ which many use as a symbol of butt. Together, it can be an elegant way of expressing ‘farts’.

If you are wondering if these emojis will get implemented on the latest iOS update, it’s best to remember that Apple can work on interpretations of these emojis.
