Kim Kardashian has enjoyed a hit in the video game world for almost a decade through the title Kim Kardashian: Hollywood from Glu Mobile.

Released in June 2014, the game will no longer offer users any in-app purchases and will be removed from the various app stores as well. If you already have the game installed, you can continue to play till April 8 before it “becomes inaccessible for all players”.

In a statement shared with TMZ, Kardashian said she was “so grateful from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has loved and played” the mobile game over the past 10 years. “This journey has meant so much to me, but I’ve realised that it’s time to focus that energy into other passions. I want to thank the Glu team and the many people behind the scenes who have worked diligently on making it a success.”

The app inspired others games and apps, like The Swift Life (for Taylor Swift) and Britney Spears: American Dream (for Britney Spears). Glu also developed an app for Katy Perry called Katy Perry Pop but it was shut down in 2016. Kim Kardashian: Hollywood generated $1.6m in revenue during its first five days on the market.
