Samsung will begin 2024 on a high note with two new smartphones — Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G. Both set to become available on January 1, the 2024 Galaxy A series seems to present a strong portfolio.

Galaxy A15 5G succeeds Galaxy A14 5G, which was one of the bestselling smartphones, according to Counterpoint Research. Making Galaxy A25 5G unique is its Super AMOLED display with Vision Booster technology, 50MP triple camera setup that comes with a host of photo-editing features, a massive 5,000mAh battery and security tools like Knox Vault.

Both devices will have a premium feel even though pricing won’t go through the roof. Galaxy A15 comes with a glastic back panel with haze finish while Galaxy A25 has a glossy prism pattern back panel. The new key island design on the side panel and the flat linear camera housing create a silhouette for enhanced grip. The A15 will come blue black, blue and light blue, while A25 will be available in blue black, blue and yellow.

Let’s look at the device specification. Both phones have a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen. The A25 presents details up to 1000 nits brightness and it’s enhanced with Vision Booster for clear outdoor visibility, besides coming with Eye Comfort Shield to reduce harmful blue light.

In the camera department, A15 has a 50MP triple camera setup with VDIS to reduce blur or distortion in videos from unsteady or shaky movements. Galaxy A25 features a 50MP (OIS) triple camera setup to shoot high-resolution and shake-free photos and videos. Further, A25 5G, has a 13MP front camera for crisp selfies and comes with photo-editing features like Single Take, Remaster and Object Eraser to reimagine your photographs. Object eraser allows you to edit and remove an object or a person from your image without leaving any smudges or other blemishes. As for Image clipper, it lets you extract a subject from an image and separate it from its background. Clipped images can be used to create memes and stickers.

Both phones come in 8GB memory and 128GB/256GB storage options. Galaxy A15 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, while Galaxy A25 5G is powered by Exynos 1280, which is built on the 5nm process. Pricing? A15 is priced upwards of Rs 19,499 and A25 is priced upwards of Rs 26,999 (there are offers to bring down the pricing).
