Rimworld: While no other game really scratches that Kenshi itch, Rimworld comes pretty close. It’s an outright management game though, which has you building up a colony after crash landing in an alien world. An AI gamemaster creates events for your characters within the colony, making them forge relationships and rivalries as they attempt to live in a world that was clearly not meant for them. The best part about the game is seeing your colonists live out their lives organically, forming true relationships with the others present in the colony. And it’s just
as unforgiving as Kenshi.
