Meta is making the game Horizon Worlds more accessible by bringing it to the web and to mobile devices. The VR social app has started rolling out for some users on the web and mobile in early access. Earlier, it was for those with a Quest VR headset.

In the game, players show up in their virtual avatar and can play games and hang out in “worlds” made either by Meta or users. You can also create items to sell but be prepared for Meta to take a 47.5 per cent cut of sales.

“To start, a small number of people can now access Super Rumble through the Meta Quest app on Android, with iOS rolling out in the coming weeks. Early access is also available on any web browser at horizon.meta.com,” Meta has said. There will be more in the coming months: “As we roll out more worlds over the next few months, you’ll be able to hang out with friends, laugh it up at comedy shows, and enjoy free concerts and events from any web-connected device.” For the time being, you’ll only be able to play first-person shooter Super Rumble.

With each device having a different interface, Meta has optimised the game's controls, like mute and pause, for mobile devices and computers. Super Rumble on mobile and the web will prove to be an interesting testing phase, helping Meta take care of bugs.
