A potent combination is here — Katy Perry, Korean pop sensation Seventeen and Apple. GarageBand — Apple’s music app — has new DJ sessions involving the musicians.
GarageBand is one of the world’s most powerful music creation studios that comes on Apple devices and is widely used by musicians like Rihanna and Grimes. The app comes with an extensive sound library that includes instruments, presents for guitar and voice, and an amazing selection of session drummers and percussionists.
How it works
GarageBand for iOS and iPadOS now includes in-app Remix Sessions featuring Katy Perry and Seventeen. These sessions will allow users to express their inner DJ using tracks from today’s top artistes. If you are an aspiring musician, you now have the ability to put a personal spin on the hit songs Harleys in Hawaii by Katy Perry and Darl+ing by Seventeen.
Available as a free download in the app’s Sound Library, there are also a range of free loops, sounds, and instruments that can be the building blocks of your music. Using the Live Loops interface to remix, anyone can rearrange and add new elements to the songs, while keeping everything in sync with tempo and key… without any special lessons.
“We love sharing the music-making experience with our fans,” said Woozi from Seventeen. “We’ve used GarageBand for years, so it’s an honour to collaborate with Apple on our Remix Session in GarageBand.”
