Recently, Dolly Parton reunited the two surviving members of the Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. It was for her rendition of Let It Be, which will appear on her star-studded November album Rockstar. That’s the power of the 77-year-old iconic singer.

Ahead of the album launch, she has announced What Would Dolly Do? Radio, a four-part radio series airing exclusively on Apple Music’s global live-streaming radio station Apple Music 1.

The show is expected to be riveting. Listeners can tune in weekly leading up to the release of Rockstar. Since she has a lot of stories to share (and witty anecdotes), there won’t be any dull moments.

On the inaugural episode, Dolly goes Behind The Seams—also the title of her book, available October 17 — with co-host Kelleigh Bannen to talk about her look and legacy, celebrating the multifaceted country and cultural icon, from Rockstar to role model, trailblazer to national treasure.

The second episode will move to business, from stage to screen, and more, while the third episode explores her philanthropic endeavours and the importance of giving back. The final episode will focus on her rock-n-roll era with Rockstar.

“I’ve lived a life of many colours, and I enjoyed the chance to sit down with Kelleigh Bannen to discuss different areas of my life and career,” said the singer.

The album that’s coming up also features Peter Frampton on guitar and Mick Fleetwood on drums. Her version of Let It Be will be closer to the original arrangement. It’s her earnest voice that is expected to win the audience.

More than a singer, she remains a symbol of strength, of creative independence, of success in a world traditionally dominated by men. What Would Dolly Do? Radio will air weekly on Wednesdays on Apple Music 1 beginning October 25.
