Spotify, which has an enviable collection of podcasts, has announced four new titles, narrated by Bollywood stars. Here is what you can expect.

Virus 2062 (with Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha): Based on time travel, the show is an adaptation of Caso 63, a Spotify Original from Chile. The 10-episode podcast is releasing on September 3.

ACP Gautam (with Ronit Roy): The crime drama, set in New Delhi of the ’90s, is the story of a legendary cop who, despite his inner demons and troubled past, is intent on solving the toughest of cases in search of justice.

Gangistaan (with Pratik Gandhi, Saiyami Kher and Dayashankar Pandey): Another crime drama, this is a podcast where the ghost of an underworld goon, and a no-nonsense veteran journalist narrate the story of Mumbai’s underbelly.

Awaiting Justice (with Vivek Oberoi): The Saathiya actor does vocal duties on a podcast around true stories of people who have been impacted by wrongful convictions.

Besides podcasts featuring Bollywood stars, Spotify has also signed exclusive deals with four creators for their Hindi shows — Siddharth Kannan for Dil Khole Stars Bole (he’ll interview film, TV and digital personalities), Vashishth Thakkar for Lafzon Ke Moti (a podcast with poetry and storytelling at its heart), Sarthak Mishra for Horror Time (a horror podcast) and Kiran Chavda for Chanakya Niti (highlights the teachings and wisdom of Chanakya).

Besides podcasts, Spotify has officially started pushing Blend out of beta, introducing new cover art, taste match scores and shareable data stories that are unique to every listening pair. The beta version was launched in early June “as a new way for two users to merge their musical tastes into one shared playlist made just for them”, making it even easier for users to connect, discover, and bond over the music they love with one another. Blend, which will be updated daily and adapts based on what listeners stream, combines the best of Spotify’s personalisation capabilities and collaborative playlist functionality into a single shared playlist,

To make it work, tap ‘Create Blend’ in the ‘Made for You’ hub on mobile. Next, tap ‘Invite’ to select a friend to join your Blend via messaging. Once your friend accepts, Spotify will generate custom cover art and track list for the two of you filled with songs that combine your listening preferences and tastes. Finally, share your Blend results across your social channels by tapping ‘Share this story’ at the bottom of your data story screen.
