Ahead of Pride Month, Apple has announced its new 2024 Pride Collection including a stunning Apple Watch band and new iPhone and iPad wallpapers.
The Apple Watch Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, matching watch face, and dynamic iOS and iPadOS wallpapers are ways to talk about global movements to protect and advance equality for LGBTQ+ communities.
The new Apple Watch Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, available to order starting May 22, along with a matching watch face and dynamic iOS and iPadOS wallpapers, available in an upcoming software update. For the first time, the Pride watch face and wallpapers can be customised to showcase a spectrum of colours representing the vibrancy and diversity of LGBTQ+ communities.
In terms of design, the iPhone/iPad wallpaper spells out the word Pride using vibrant letters. On unlocking the device, beams of colour move accordingly. The same radiant colours trace the numerals on the Apple Watch face and move based on users’ wrist motion. The new Pride Radiance watch face and iPhone and iPad wallpaper will be available soon with watchOS 10.5, iOS 17.5, and iPadOS 17.5.
Apple says: “Through this Pride Collection, Apple is proud to continue its support of LGBTQ+ advocacy organisations whose efforts are bringing about positive change, including ILGA World, a global federation committed to advancing the rights of LGBTQ+ people worldwide; and the Human Rights Campaign, a global advocacy group working to ensure all LGBTQ+ people are treated as full and equal citizens.”
The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop will be available for Rs 9,500.
