There are rumours of M4-powered Macs coming our way. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is even forecasting a specific launch date: November 1, following a late-October announcement (probably October 28) that mirrors last year’s Halloween-themed reveal for the first M3 Macs. And there’s more…
M4 MacBook Pro
The number of users for the Pro range of MacBook is vast and these are mostly content creators and filmmakers. The MacBook Pro is expected to come with the M4 chip and we are talking of more than just the base M4 option. Depending on your MacBook Pro configuration you’ll be able to get the M4, M4 Pro or M4 Max. The Apple silicon will be inside the 14-inch and the 16-inch versions.
MacBook Mini
It may become one of the bestsellers for Apple and this time it will come with an M4 chip. Rumours are that the device could be as small as the Apple TV 4K but with all the functionality you expect from a Mini. There could be a couple of different chip options — the M4 and M4 Pro.
iPad Mini
One of the most loved Apple products hasn’t had an update in three years. The iPad Mini 6 was released in 2021 with a complete redesign involving thinner bezels and the killing of the Home button. All pilots are surely looking forward to the iPad mini 7 and we hope the base storage will be at least 128GB.
M4 iMac
The iMac is the perfect device to have on the office table, in the family working area, advertising agencies… the list is endless. Will we get to see an M4 iMac? It hasn’t been long since the M3 iMac debuted, so it will be interesting to see if this is just a spec bump. We definitely expect it to have USB-C accessories and wow-wow colour options.
Base iPad
Apple seems to be updating its entire iPad lineup, so why not a new base-model iPad? School and college students love it as much as many travellers. Display analyst Ross Young indicates panel shipments for the new iPad aren’t starting until October, which points to a product launch in early 2025.
Road ahead
According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, he expects quite a few products to launch in early 2025 — 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with M4, revamped iPhone SE, refreshed 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models, new Magic Keyboards for the updated iPad Air line and an upgraded AirTag item finder accessory.
