It’s what They call A matter Of heart

What will I do when I hang the jhola by my shoulder and walk away? What will I put inside that jhola? How will I spend the rest of my time?

Let’s find it first, the heart. I mean, is there one? In these parts? Do I have one? In my parts? I am known to occasionally refer to it, but that may not be proof enough that I possess one. I refer to so many things that I do not have. Deg-rees. RedEyes. Style. Substance. Sensitivity. 56 or so other things, who’s to be bothered counting now?

One of the things I do not have, and I readily admit this, is time. I am a man in a hurry. That is why kaymra is necessary. To record. Otherwise time will pass quickly and things will pass quickly too and I will have no record. What will I do when I hang the jhola by my shoulder and walk away? What will I put inside that jhola? How will I spend the rest of my time? Recording is important. And for recording, kaymra should be there all the time. Samajh mein aaya?

Let’s move on. Where were we? Heart. Yes. It is a thing, I know. People talk about it all the time. Perhaps it is a necessary thing. This heart. Come to think of it, I may have done a deep study on the heart. Don’t ask me for proof, I am saying this and therefore it is the truth. I know what a heart is. It is a thing with many chambers and other things. Many things, in fact you may think too many things to fit into a space no more than a fist. There. See, I know that. The size of the heart. Samajh mein aaya? I also know mine is the same size as a pig’s, make of that what you will.

Once again, let’s move on. To parts and cavities. Beyond the chambers. There aortas and there are atriums, right and left, and arteries and valves and vena cavas, inferior and superior, and ventricles left and right. And somewhere there are also cockles which get warmed from time to time to external stimuli. And when they are not warm, these cockles must lie cold. Stands to reason, hai naa?

All of these things jumbled up in a fashion so confounding that you actually have to devote a fair time studying and understanding to get to be familiar with this thing called the heart. I know, I studied it. Now I am looking. For where my heart might be. I did say it bleeds but I can feel nothing wet. I did say it pains, but they said take a painkiller because I am too important to be felled by pain, and so I took it and now the pain is gone. I am looking. I shall let you know. We’ll slip into the heartbreak, but don’t go away.

Last they found a liver

And, of course, very much a heart

Looking deeper, they gave a shiver

And then they gave a start.
