TRAU FC head coach Dimitris Dimtriou, while talking to reporters during the pre-match conference, said, “This is my first occasion with the boys after 59 days of absence for some reason and I hope to catch up with them in getting points. We had some poor performance as every team does but we will make amends and emerge stronger.”

Dimitris said, “We need to improve ourselves as we have already lost three games but the boys did well in their last home game to split a point from a draw. Though one cannot predict a game of football, we would definitely like to present a New Year gift to the people of Manipur with a win against Punjab FC on Saturday.” The coach added, “We are prepared and we are definitely playing for the three points on Saturday. Football is all about analysing, looking for loopholes and getting set for the win. I expect my team to prove themselves.”

Punjab FC seems set to bring up a good performance against TRAU FC as coach Yan Law feels that despite the soggy weather condition because of the January rain, the boys’ determination is soaring high.

Punjab FC coach Yan Law said, “The home teams definitely enjoy the upper hand with the crowds but we have players from Manipur as well. That will give us a boost in our play. We anticipate a good fight for Saturday.”

Punjab FC is in the second spot with eight points from five matches.
