Meeting: The special action group on Covid-19, under the chairmanship of home commissioner Abhijit Sinha, reviewed preventive measures in Kohima on Wednesday.

He directed the departments to collect information like contact details, address and travel history of all passengers arriving at Dimapur airport. He said 11 road entry points had been identified and the deputy commissioners directed to start the screening process.

Sinha said the Dimapur task force, in coordination with the railways, had made a single exit point at Dimapur railway station to enable screening of passengers.

He directed all deputy commissioners to direct village councils, ward authorities and tribal hohos to report entry of any person from outside since March 1.

Sinha said 49 foreign tourists, who had entered Nagaland, are being monitored. He also convened a meeting with faith-based organisations. Principal director (health and family welfare), Vizolie Suokhrie, said the department had procured more ventilators and personal protection equipment, including N-95 masks and scanners, to meet the requirements.
