Railway contractors across the country, including that of the Northeast Frontier Railway, will stage a strike on Friday to protest non-payment of bills by the Railways. Vice-president of the IR Infrastructure Providers Association Mahesh Kumar said, “The construction companies are unable to pay salaries to their employees. If the dues are not paid before Holi, the protest will intensify.”

Rs 18.16cr funds disbursed
The North East Venture Fund has disbursed Rs 18.16 crore to 12 start-ups in the region. The venture fund was formally launched on September 9, 2017, with joint efforts from the DoNER ministry and NEDFi. This was stated by DoNER minister
