After a major reshuffle in top police posts in Assam, another reshuffle took place on Saturday in the posts of deputy commissioner of police (DCP), additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP), assistant commissioner of police (ACP) and inspector.

Inspector Pradip Kr Talukdar of Special Branch (SB) has been transferred and posted as officer-in-charge of Dispur police station taking charge from OC Biren Baruah. Inspector of SB, Biren Ch. Deka has been transferred as OC, Hatigaon, taking charge from current OC, Ratan Das. OC of Chandmari police station has been transferred to CID, Assam and his post will be taken over by CID inspector, Biswajit Deka. Several other changes were made in the OC rank.

Punnam Pegu, DSP, Bureau of Investigation of Economic Offences, Guwahati, was posted as ACP, Basistha, while ACP Nandini Kakati has been transferred as DSP, (BIEO). ACP (crime) Chandra Kanta Boro was posted as ACP, Chandmari.

Altogether 26 officers were transferred.
