Four persons from Upper Assam’s Golaghat district have been stranded in Nepal after the 21-day nationwide lockdown announced in India to control the spread of novel coronavirus.
Dilip Konwar, Jyoti Gogoi, Dipanjali Deka and Dipsikha Deka of Chungajan No. 3 village under Dhansiri subdivision of Golaghat district had gone to Nepal for eye treatment.
They have been stuck at Guwahati Hotel and Lodge at Birtamode in Nepal’s Jhapa district since March 19. However, they are running out of money. Through a video, Konwar urged the Assam government to help them return from Nepal.
Anuj Bora, a resident of Dhansiri, also urged the state government to take necessary steps to help the four persons.
