Meghalaya police in East Jaiñtia Hills recovered Yaba tablets valued at around Rs 2 crore and arrested two persons hailing from Tripura.

Superintendent of police Vivekanand Singh said 91,000 of Yaba/World is Yours/Amphetamine tablets weighing approximately 8.6kg with street value of Rs 2 crore and 3,88,500ml of IMFL were recovered from an Agartala-bound truck at Khliehriat on Thursday morning in a 20-hour operation conducted by a joint team of the district’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force and Khliehriat police.

Pritish Nath of East Tilthai, North Tripura, and Rabindra Sinha of Kailashahar, North Tripura have been arrested in connection with this. A case has been registered and a probe is on.
