Tripura police seized 315kg of ganja valued at Rs 30 lakh from Churaibari in North district on Thursday and arrested Abhijit Sarkar, the driver of an Assam-bound oil tanker. BSF troops seized 5kg ganja, 305 bottles of Phensedyl and 70 phones at Matinagar in Sepahijala district.

3 killed in mishap

Subarana Roy, 22, and Bikash Choudhury, 23, were killed when their bike lost control at Maladhara in Assam’s Goalpara district. Roy hailed from Dudhnoi Fohela and Choudhury from Boko in Kamrup. Dukeson Sangma of Bamundanga in West Goalpara died at Rongsai when his bike collided with a bus.
