The Nagaland government on Friday launched the returnees’ declaration form in the website iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in.
The Nagaland citizens stranded in different parts of the country can register themselves to come back to the state either on their own by road through e-pass or by arrangements to be made by the state government, Nagaland minister for planning and coordination, land revenue and parliamentary affairs Neiba Kronu said.
He said special trains or buses based on the requirement will be arranged to bring back the stranded people after sorting out the data of the applicants.
As of 5pm on Friday, 33 have applied for e-passes and 7,015 requested for government arrangement for transportation, he said.
Kronu said as of 4pm on Friday, altogether 805 samples have been sent for testing from the state.
The results of 775 samples have been received and all tested negative.
The results for the remaining 30 samples are awaited.
He said 7,369 persons were screened on Friday and 77 persons are under facility quarantine.
Kronu said the inter-district movement of stranded people to their home districts, which began on Thursday, continued for the second day on Friday.
Altogether 1,758 passengers in 85 buses have travelled back to their respective districts from various locations of the state till Friday.
Kronu said the health and family welfare department, in collaboration with police, is digitally monitoring the people put on quarantine for the whole quarantine period through the Covid-19 Nagaland visitor’s app.
Altogether 4,579 people registered under the digital surveillance report so far, of whom 4,355, who registered in the app, have already completed quarantine and 220 under quarantine are currently being monitored.
The health and family welfare department has urged any seriously ill non-Covid patient requiring treatment outside the state to contact their respective district task force for more information.
It requested them to get a written document, an acceptance note by the referring-in hospital, while applying for referral or movement permit.
