Northeast Frontier Railway to run parcel trains

'The parcel train would run from Guwahati to Dibrugarh on Wednesday and from Dibrugarh to Guwahati on Thursday'

The parcel express train towards Dibrugarh will leave from Guwahati at 9.20am with stoppages at Jagiroad, Chaparmukh, Hojai, Lumding Jn, Diphu, Dimapur, Sarupathar, Furkating Jn, Mariani Jn, Simaluguri Jn, Duliajan and New Tinsukia stations.

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will run parcel trains between Guwahati and Dibrugarh to facilitate transport of essential commodities in small quantities on Wednesday and Thursday in the wake of outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.

An NFR official said the parcel train would run from Guwahati to Dibrugarh on Wednesday and from Dibrugarh to Guwahati on Thursday.

The parcel express train towards Dibrugarh will leave from Guwahati at 9.20am with stoppages at Jagiroad, Chaparmukh, Hojai, Lumding Jn, Diphu, Dimapur, Sarupathar, Furkating Jn, Mariani Jn, Simaluguri Jn, Duliajan and New Tinsukia stations.

Earlier also the NFR ran many parcel trains which carried essential goods and medical items to various parts of the Northeast during the lockdown.
