The Royal Global School on Sunday said it has promptly designed a “robust system” of e-learning which has been made available for all classes, right from the nursery to Class XII during the ongoing nationwide lockdown.
The principal of the school, Anubha Goyal, who has been monitoring the progress of the pedagogic exercises of the school in the digital ecosystem said, “As Covid-19 continues to spread across the world, we have started to make changes to ensure children do not suffer any academic loss. Now is the time to reflect, strategise and forge ahead with renewed zeal. Online teaching hence, is not the next big thing, it is the now big thing.”
Educational institutions have been affected as a result of the lockdown with students having to stay indoors, away from the classrooms.
The online classes for Class XII had been initiated from March 27. The students can continue their learning by making full use of the digital or the e-learning platforms.
The ministry of human resource and development has provided digital and e-learning platforms for school education like Diksha, E Pathsala and Swayam.
Order: The Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has directed all the deputy commissioners to initiate strict action against all private schools which are “instructing” parents or guardians to deposit the fee of their children or wards.
The ASCPCR said: “It has been brought to the attention of this commissionthat in the light of Covid-19 outbreak, various private school authorities in your district are instructing the parents to deposit their wards’ school fees, admission fees for promotion to higher class or even fresh admission.”
It said despite the decision of the central government during lockdown to adopt soft policies in terms of relaxation of instalments or other bills for a three-month period, such an action of instructing the fee by “any school authorities” must be stopped. It added, “You are reminded to ensure that no school authority tries to force the guardians to deposit any outstanding or advance fees for education of their children, or for fresh admission as the case may be.”
